Alaska Summer Trip Packages

Talkeetna Adventure Lodge Two and Three Night Packages:

We will pick you up at your hotel in Talkeetna or Anchorage and transfer you, by floatplane or bush plane, to Talkeetna Adventure Lodge, located on Stephan Lake. The scenic flight time is approximately 30 minutes and offers some of the most spectacular views of Denali, North America’s tallest peak.  You will fly out of the historic village of Talkeetna in the morning of your first day. Talkeetna Adventure Lodge employees will greet you upon your arrival and gladly take your bags to your appointed guest room. Once you have settled in you will be given a brief tour of the surroundings and our staff will discuss the adventures that are available to you during your stay.  At night you will enjoy a delicious meal, homemade dessert prepared by our gourmet chef and an evening campfire.  You’ll receive the personal attention you deserve and an Alaskan wilderness experience you will never forget!
 
The amount of activities available to you will depend on your length of stay and activity choices: 
Half - Day Guided Paddle or Power Boat Tour
Take a four-hour guided canoe, kayak or powerboat tour on pristine Stephan Lake. You and your guide will make your way to the boat dock and begin your paddling or powerboat-adventure on the peaceful flat waters of five-mile long Stephan Lake. Let go of your worries and explore the beauty of the lake. Take your binoculars and camera and be on the lookout for ducks, trumpeter swans, bald eagles, moose, caribou, black bear, spawning salmon, land otters and beaver dams. 
 
Half - Day Guided Fly Fishing or Spin Cast Fishing Trip
Take a four-hour guided fishing trip on pristine Stephan Lake. Our fresh water lake, river and streams offer fly rod or spin cast fishing for a variety of species. Depending on the time of year you may fish for grayling, rainbow trout, lake trout, dolly varden, burbot, as well as silver and red salmon. This tour is great for first time and experienced anglers!
Half - Day Guided Hiking Trek to an Alaskan Trapper Cabin
Take a four-hour guided tour from our lodge to an Alaskan trapper cabin on the shores of Stephan Lake. Fur trappers used stacked logs covered with brush, lean-tos or built actual cabins to stay in while they trapped. See how people lived a hundred years ago in the Alaska bush.
Full - Day Guided Wilderness Trek
Take an eight hour guided hike to Half Way Cabin. You and your guide will take a short boat ride across Stephan Lake to the trailhead. Learn about the flora and fauna and pick berries along your trek. Your reward at Half Way Cabin will be the incredible views of Denali Mountain and the Talkeetna Mountain Range. This trek is recommended for the physically fit hiking enthusiast. 
Overnight Guided Adventure to Deneka Cabin
This adventure includes a combination of hiking and paddling to reach our remote cabin located on its own private lake. At night, take a twenty-minute hike to your own private bear viewing spot on Prairie Creek.

Bear viewing available mid-June, July till mid-August. Remember to bring your camera!

Evening Activities Include:

Gourmet Cooking Class
Our private chef will share a recipe of one our popular Alaskan appetizers. You will learn how to make a Chef’s choice appetizer and then have the opportunity to sample the dish with a glass of wine or beer.
Basic Fly or Spin Casting Fishing Class
Learn fly fishing knots, fly and spin casting, and fly fishing techniques during this night program. You will learn fun and useful techniques from our fishing guide who loves to fish and can’t wait to share these tools with you!
Dutch Oven Dessert
Join us at the campfire where we will prepare the evening’s dessert outside in our cast iron Dutch oven.  This type of wilderness cooking dates back to the 17th century and was popular among mountain men exploring the Great American frontier.
Nightly Campfire and Horseshoes
Every night our outdoor campfire along with our horseshoe pit will provide the perfect location to end your evening. Sit back, relax and share tales of your day’s adventures as you roast marshmallows, throw horseshoes and enjoy the long summer night.
***Breakfast is served daily at 8:00am in the main lodge
***Lunch is served daily at 1:00pm in the main lodge (depending on your adventure for the day you may enjoy lunch at the main lodge or pack a lunch from our make your own sandwich bar)
***Dinner is served at 7:00pm in the main lodge
